Welcome to the Auldgirth Inn, a warm and inviting small hotel, set in the wonderfully picturesque Nithsdale valley.
Built in the 1500's the Auldgirth Inn began as a sanctuary for Monks as they travelled from Melrose to Galloway. It has since been a Blacksmiths and a fishing bar before being transformed into the traditional pub/hotel familiar to many nationwide. Even Robert Burns himself, has enjoyed the hospitality of the Auldgirth Inn over 2 centuries ago; and today we hope that you too can enjoy that same hospitality that is still abundant today.
The Inn offers spendid accommodation for your stay. All the rooms have en-suite facilities and are exceptionally well maintained. The old blacksmiths bar has lost none of its unique charm over the centuries. With arched windows, thick oak beams and the most inviting of log fires, it couldn't be any more relaxing.
